RACHAEL'S SMOKY CHICKEN PATTIES
1 1/2 pounds ground chicken or turkey
1 tablespoon smoked paprika *
1 1/2 tablespoons Montreal steak seasoning
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
2 ounces onion, grated, 1/2 medium
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons oil
Combine all of the ingredients well. Shape in 4 large patties and grill.
Makes 4 servings
Can be frozen

This is from Rachael Ray's 30 Minute Meals show. Although they have a nice flavor, I thought they were a bit salty. I would cut back on the steak seasoing by at least the 1/2 tablespoon. I used ground turkey because it's more readily available and quite a bit cheaper than ground chicken. Rachael said to grate the onion, but I didn't have much luck doing that so I threw the onion and garlic in my mini food processor and processed it until very fine. She also added the ingredients in stages and I decided that there was no reason not to just dump everything into a bowl at once. In the end, I think the carbs are a bit high for what amounts to a fancy burger. I would rather save my carbs for a nice salad or vegetable side dish.
To make these suitable for induction, I would cut back on the spices, garlic and onion.
