GARLIC "RICE" SIDE DISH
1 batch Faux Rice (or whatever you've got left over)
Garlic powder, about 1/8 teaspoon
Parmesan cheese, about 1 ounce
Salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh parsely, minced, about 2 tablespoons
Chives, minced, about 2 tablespoons
Stir everything into the Faux Rice. Microwave until hot and serve. The carb count will vary depending on how much "rice" you use and the quantities of the added ingredients. I estimate about 3 net carbs per serving.
Now that I've discovered how great the Faux Rice is, I'm going to try to come up with all kinds of ways to use it. I came up with this to use up some leftover "rice". This side dish would also be very good with some sauteed mushrooms in it. The possibilities are endless. Click the photo to see a close-up.
