FROZEN MOCHACCINO PROTEIN SHAKE
1 cup cold coffee
2 tablespoons heavy cream
Liquid Splenda, to taste
1 packet diet hot cocoa mix *
1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder *
1/4 teaspoon xanthan gum
8 or 9 ice cubes
Put everything except the xanthan gum and ice cubes in a blender; blend briefly on low speed. Turn the blender to HIGH and gradually add the xanthan gum and then the ice cubes, one at a time. Blend until smooth and thick.
Makes 1 serving
* I use Kroger or Swiss Miss brand Fat Free Hot Cocoa Mix which is sweetened with Splenda and only has 4 carbs per serving. The carb counts for this recipe are based on whey protein powder that has 3 carbs per scoop (1/3 cup).
Per Serving: 268 Calories; 13g Fat; 29g Protein; 8g Carbohydrate; 2g Dietary Fiber; 6g Net Carbs
If you don't have liquid Splenda you'll have to add the additional carbs for granular to the count.
