BBQ TURKEY BURGERS
20 ounces ground turkey
1 small onion, chopped fine, 2 1/2 ounces
1/4 cup low carb barbecue sauce *
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon Montreal steak seasoning
4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, in 1/4" dice
1 tablespoon oil
In a large bowl, mix everything except the cheese and oil. Gently fold in the diced cheese. Shape in 4 patties, about an inch thick. Heat the oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook the burgers 5-6 minutes per side or until done to your liking.
Makes 4 servings

* I used KC Masterpiece Classic Blend which has 4 carbs per 1/4 cup.

These taste very good but next time I might try sautéeing the onions rather than putting them in raw. Because of the fat in the cheese, these will make huge, greasy mess all over your stove.
